How can I control my kitchen appliances?
You can start operating modes (except climate control) on your oven appliances, including with parameters (“Alexa, tell Miele to start the oven at 200 degrees fan” or “Alexa, ask Miele to start the microwave at 600 watts”).
If you want to slide a baking tray into your oven, you can ask the Miele assistant to open the oven door for you (“Alexa, ask Miele to open the oven door”).
Relax on the sofa while your dishes cook, safe in the knowledge that you are still in control as you can see how your food looks in the oven without getting up (“Alexa, ask Miele how my food is doing”).
Of course, you can also switch your oven on and off, stop the current programme or ask for the time left.
What’s particularly convenient is that you can proactively set notifications to inform you as soon as your dish is ready (“Alexa, ask Miele to remind me when the oven is finished”).
Your Echo devices will then inform you once the programme running time is up.
If you have a compatible coffee machine (CM6F, CM7 or CVA 7000), you can switch this on (“Alexa, ask Miele to pre-heat the coffee machine”) or start preparing a drink, including with configurable options (“Alexa, tell Miele to make me a large coffee”).
You can start your networked dishwasher (“Alexa, ask Miele to start the dishwasher using the automatic and extra short programme in two hours”) or learn about the ideal programme for cleaning your crockery (“Alexa, ask Miele how I should clean my crockery”).
You can also conveniently control your networked cooker hood using your voice (“Alexa, tell Miele to set the cooker hood to level 2”). You can also use your voice to conveniently switch on the lighting for the cooker hood (“Alexa, ask Miele to switch on the cooking light on the cooker hood” or “Alexa, tell Miele to make the cooker hood red”).
