How do I operate Smart Food ID (SFID)?
Requirement: The Smart Food ID (SFID) smart feature has been activated in the Miele app and on the oven; see this article: “Wie aktiviere ich Smart Food ID (SFID)?”.
Switch the oven on using the On/Off button .
Open the oven door.
Place the food on shelf level 2 in the oven compartment.1
No pre-heating is required.Close the oven door.
The oven display indicates that the Food identification feature is active.
Confirm the food that has been recognised in the oven display by pressing OK.2
The food that has been recognised is shown in the oven display with an example image. This image is not the original image from the oven camera.
The programme starts with the optimal time and temperature setting.
When the programme has ended, a buzzer sounds on the oven.
You will also receive a push notification on your mobile device.
1 You will achieve the best results in the middle shelf levels 2 and 3.
Ideally, you should use the middle and bottom shelf levels for food recognition.
On shelf level 1, a tall oven tray can impair the lighting, making food recognition difficult.
2 If the oven does not detect the food, a corresponding message appears on the appliance display. The oven can then be operated manually (without Smart Food ID).
The food may not be detected because a Smart Food ID programme for the food being cooked does not yet exist.
