How do I activate Smart Food ID (SFID)?

Requirements

• Miele app version 4.7.2 or higher (the most recent version is always recommended)

• Compatible oven with integrated camera

  • The oven must be networked via WiFi and linked to a Miele user account. The oven is displayed in the start menu of the Miele app.

  • If the oven is compatible, the entry Smart Food ID is displayed in Smart Features in the Miele app.
    The entry Smart Features/Smart Food ID is also displayed on the appliance details page.^*

• Latest firmware version (Profile > Appliance settings > Appliance updates > RemoteUpdate)

• Latest WiFi module version (Profile > Appliance settings > Appliance updates > WiFi module update)

1. Activate Smart Food ID in the app

• Start the Miele app.

• Select Smart Features.

• Select Smart Food ID.^*

• Select Activate.

A message confirming that Smart Food ID has been activated appears in the Miele app. A tutorial containing tips on use then starts to play.

2. Activate Smart Food ID on the oven

• Switch the oven off and then back on again using the On/Off button .

• On the oven, select the Settings menu. The new menu option Food recognition is available.

• Select the Food recognition menu option.

• Set food recognition to On.

• In the Settings menu on the oven, make sure that the Camera inside oven compartment and Food recognition menu options are activated with the On setting.
