Baked goods with delicate surfaces in particular, such as soured cream or quark cakes, brown unevenly due to air circulation with Fan plus. In this case, it is better to use the “Conventional heat” operating mode.
Do not use the Rapid heat-up function again if this problem occurs. This allows you to achieve an even cooking result, especially for more delicate baked goods such as biscuits.
Remove any accessories that are not being used from the oven. Also remove the grease filter from the oven, as this obstructs the flow of air. Only insert the grease filter when grilling or roasting.
Wait for the oven to cool down completely before carrying out the following steps.
Check that the door is properly positioned on its hinges and that the lock is in the correct position. Also check whether the seal is positioned properly all the way around. For further details, see the operating instructions. Grease deposits on the door seal can cause it to become brittle and cracked. For this reason, it is best to clean the seal every time the oven is used using a clean sponge cloth and a solution of warm water and washing-up liquid, or a damp microfibre cloth. Wipe the seal dry using a soft cloth. If the door seal is brittle, cracked or badly worn, contact the Miele Customer Service Department.
